The Pack. Invisible enemy
Valery Shatrov returns to a service after being seriously wounded. He manages to become “his own” in the complicated team of the Criminal Investigation Department of Leutenant Colonel Roubtsov. The thief in law whose name is Greek treats Shatrov with respect and is not against to help him with some information unless this contradicts his own interests. But Shatrov’s life does not become easier. There is a new member in the team – Igor Bodrich, experienced investigation officer transferred from Moscow. Intelligent and experienced professional, Bodrich arises suspicions among his new colleagues on having connections with crime – he doesn’t have established authorities and he easily squanders big money. The ambulance doctor Irina finally breaks up with Shatrov and leaves the city. Larisa, a businesswoman, who is Shatrov’s neighbour starts flirting with him, at the same time he gets acquainted with a psychotherapist Sofia and begins to attend her sessions. Clarity and simplicity in Shatrov’s personal life is not expected.
An unexpected ally of investigation officers is the new chairman of the city court Muzichenko, who also tries to set his own order in the city and puts an ultimatum to the Greek and his men – they must get out of the city.
A new mysterious player appears in the city, launching another redistribution in the criminal world. Unsuccessful attempt to kill Greek and an attempt to redistribute spheres of influence in the illegal drug trade, the emergence of a new gang led by a contractor, business showdown between two owners of competing courier delivery networks, the major, who lost his mind and crushed people who attended the parade during the City Day, serial maniac raping girls in the parks and squares…. With each new crime Shatrov and his colleagues realize that many of seemingly not connected events are links of the same chain. They have to find out who is this mysterious puppeteer and return law and order to the streets of their city.
