The Host

Egor Tarantsev, 40, comes to his home seaside town because of his mother’s funerals. He has not been home for about 20 years, when he left for competitions and did not come back since then – he got whirled by his career, first as an amateur, then he fought in Las Vegas for the Belt, and performed until his doctor told him “enough” – he risked to have either a stroke or a grave if he would have continued further.
He thought to bury his mother and leave after that, but he had to stay, he got messed in an unfortunate situation, clashed a gang that robs truckers, defending himself and killed a bandit. Now the police suspects him and bandits are looking for him, he gets in a difficult situation. And it’s quite unstable in the city too. Tarantsev starts to help people around his small town. He protects his neighbor from the bandits who want to take away her coffee shop. He solves the issue with the arrogant drug dealers, whom the police did not touch. He revives the boxing section where he himself once started and begins to teach the boys. People reach out to him, they feel the owner in him, which was so much missed in this town.
How can he give up now?
